How Ohmie works

Subjects: pick the path you feel like today, from Electronics to Robotics

1. Pick today's rep

A short lesson picks up right where you left off.

A fault-repair bench: power off, remove the bridge, and the lamp lights

2. Fix the circuit

Answer real questions and fix live circuits by hand.

Explore tab with a 12-day streak row and a Level 12 celebration, 2,400 XP banked

3. Keep the streak

Earn XP, level up, and come back tomorrow.

A lesson page in Ohmie: every dead gadget died one of two deaths, an open-bridge circuit below, and a Continue button

Hands-on from lesson one

You don't watch electronics. You solve it.

Tap the break in the loop. Fix the fault. Watch the lamp light up — on a circuit that actually responds.

Copper Town in Ohmie World: the training hall, the arena sign, and Ohmie's welcome

Walk into Copper Town. Light your first LED.

Ohmie World is a small town inside the app: light your first LED on a real breadboard bench, then duel the Copper Trail's three trainers.

  • Quiz-battle Watt, the practice bot — first to five wins.
  • Sign in and challenge another inventor live, 20 seconds a question.
Explore tab: a start-a-streak week row, join this week's leaderboard, search, and topic chips like Electricity Basics and Ohm's Law
The weekly leaderboard: this week's top 50, ranked by XP

Everything, one tap away

Explore holds your streak, the weekly leaderboard, every topic, and the review queue for anything you missed.

Built to bring you back

Streaks and levels that make 3 minutes stick.

Every lesson banks XP and keeps your streak alive.

  • Level up to Circuit Apprentice and beyond.
  • A Daily Charge every day — five questions, +15 XP.
  • Protect your streak with a streak freeze.

It starts at "what is electricity?" and ends at robot navigation.

Electronics

82 lessons

Voltage, current, capacitors, op-amps — from your first spark to your own amplifier design.

The Subjects picker: Electronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, PCB Design, Semiconductors, Programming

02

Digital Circuits

About 30 lessons

How Chips Speak: how electricity carries information at all — then logic gates you predict before they fire.

The Logic Lab becomes a 3D world built into the app: fly it, land at ten level walls and build working circuits, from a single lamp up to a latch and a clock.

03

Semiconductors

95 lessons

Inside the transistor: holes, doping, and the 1947 Bell Labs breakthrough — rebuilt bench by bench, by you.

A power transistor and a small transistor, rendered in 3D

04

Embedded Systems

103 lessons

Where code meets copper: pins, analog reads, interrupts, and the sensors that feel the world.

Two microcontroller boards, rendered in 3D

05

Programming

Python and C++ tracks

Two tracks: Python from zero, and Arduino C++ from your first Hello, World! to an autonomous robot.

Questions, answered

Do I need any hardware or a breadboard?

No. Every circuit is simulated and playable right in the app — though builds are real enough to copy onto your desk.

Is it good for total beginners?

Yes. Ohmie starts at "What is electricity?" and builds up one short lesson at a time.

How far does it actually go?

Seven subjects — Electronics, Digital Circuits, Semiconductors, Embedded Systems, Programming, PCB Design and Robotics — take you from Ohm's law to what's happening inside a transistor, then on to IMUs, sensor fusion and SLAM. It's the same lesson format the whole way; the ideas just get bigger.

What if I get stuck on a question?

Ask Ohmie. Every question has a built-in hint and explanation, and signed-in subscribers can ask Ohmie follow-up questions right there on the question.

Which languages does Ohmie speak?

English, Spanish, Czech and Brazilian Portuguese. Lesson narration stays English for now.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Yearly starts with a 7-day free trial — cancel before it ends and nothing is charged. Either plan can be cancelled any time from the App Store.
